The Rosebuds – Life Like

The Rosebuds is a soft-rock indie duet band that hails from Raleigh, North Carolina. This duet is made up of Ivan Howard (vocals, guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, and programming) and Kelly Crisp (vocals, keyboard, drums, and guitar). This band will be putting out their new album Life Like October 7th in the United States.

Because the singers trade off on accenting each other in songs, it creates this mystical feeling that is presented in their music. Both of their vocals have very calm, crisp dynamics which can be heard in every one of their songs. The musical collaboration between Howard and Crisp complement each other in making the haunting-pop music that can be found in their new album.

The songs “Nice Fox,” “Another Way In,” and “Concordia Military Club” are such mellow songs that calms the nerves of everyone who listens. I can only imagine how they might make the listener feel when listening to them live.

The Rosebuds have not yet blossomed to being world know yet, but with the talent that these to musicians have between each other, I am sure that it will not be long now before that they bloom into an immaculate red rose for all to hear. All they need is a little more attention, attention that is well earned. Their new album Life Like deserves just that. So check them out!
