The Ting Tings Nominated for VMA ‘Video of the Year’

The Ting Tings are nominated for ‘Video of the Year’ at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. The Manchester, England duo of Katie White and Jules DeMartino are nominated for their video “Shut Up And Let Me Go,” (watch below) from their debut album We Started Nothing. The Ting Tings are the only new artists nominated in this category; others include Britney Spears, The Jonas Brothers, Chris Brown and The Pussycat Dolls. The MTV Awards airs live on Sunday September 7.

In other news, The Ting Tings track “Keep Your Head” will be featured on the FIFA ’09 in-game soundtrack slated for release this fall. FIFA ’09 is the latest installment of the EA (Electronic Arts) series of world-wide sold, soccer video games.
