Popped! Philadelphia Music Festival

Dearest fellow Philadelphians,

I’m pretty sure every other city is totally jealous of us this weekend. We’ve got the Popped! Philadelphia Music Fest — 3 days/nights of amazing music right in the heart of the city.

The party gets started Friday night at the Troc with a special performance by the legendary Slick Rick as well as sets by Steven Bloodbath and White T’s & White Belt’s spinning. You’ve gotta be 18 or older and doors are at 8PM.

Luckily, the main events are all ages. Saturday the show takes place at Drexel (33rd & Market). Doors are are 12PM and the show kicks off at 1PM with England’s hottest new commodity The Ting Tings. Sunday, the jams move a couple blocks to the famous and fabulous World Café Live (33rd & Walnut), both upstairs and down. This show is also all ages, but gets a little bit of a later start with doors at 3PM and music starting at 4PM.

1:50 Hoots & Hellmouth
2:40 Mr. Lif
3:30 Dan Deacon
4:10 Gogol Bordello

Myself (Jessica) and Dese’Rae will be there scribbling in notebooks, snapping photos and enjoying a weekend of awesome tunes. (If you happened to check out out MySpace pages to catch a glimpse of what we look like and wanna say hi if you see us, we totally encourage that kind of thing! 🙂
