Young Knives – Superabundance

Young Knives are, without a doubt, from the UK. Not only do their charming accents shine through in their singing, they play with that Brit rock sense of urgency, taking cues from their early punk rock predecessors. Their new album Superabundance shows off their fabulous Brit pop and rock sensibilities while retaining a warmth in bouncy beats, pulsing guitars, harmonic vocals and intelligent lyrics.

Check out the video for catchy single “Terra Firma.” It’s very minimalist and quite British, featuring a blue banana, stuff rabbit, rubber snake and a great fedora sported by Thomas. Check it out:

Superabundance is rife with pop rock tunes that are lyrically repetitive but retain that bouncy quality which get you moving along to the music. Young Knives’ drive and sense of urgency in each song the play has me sure that they’re loads of fun to see live. They’re are currently touring Europe and will pop over to the States for a few select east coast dates in June (which you can find below).
