PopWreckoning began in fall of 2007 as PopWreck, as an outlet for the musings of co-creators Jessica and Joshua. The turn of the year brought about a name change — to PopWreckoning — and a focus on the pair’s mutual passion for great music.
The short time that PopWreckoning has been in operation, it has grown by leaps and bounds, taking on new writers and photographers from across the nation, covering acts big and small, the unheard of and the legendary, and has seen an ever-increasing rise in readership.
PopWreckoning’s goal is to present great music from many different genres while bringing music fans together for an open discourse. Each PopWreckoning staff member, though never claiming to be an authority on the subject has a great passion for music that he or she wants to share. PopWreckoning does its best to keep you informed on music news, bring you honest recorded and live reviews, and gain an insight on artists via interviews.
With staff from all over the country and many different backgrounds, PopWreckoning prides itself on the diverse and distinct voices it is able to present. Rather than a limiting rating system, PopWreckoning strives to present reviews with original thoughts and well-thought out opinions.
